Scotty Marion, out of Draper Utah, is the first American to win a Paragliding World Cup Paragliding Competition. While winning only one task of seven, consistent flying on his Gin Boomerang gave him the edge he needed to glide to a top finish.

Back in July of 2001, Scotty claimed the US National Paragliding Championship at Chelan, Washington.
