...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 25 to 35 below zero expected
tonight into Sunday morning.
* WHERE...Marathon, Portage, Wood, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, Vilas,
Florence, and Forest Counties.
* WHEN...Until noon CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sporadic winds around 5 mph will continue
overnight into Sunday morning, resulting in wind chill readings of
25 to 35 below zero at times. At locations where the wind goes
calm, air temperatures alone could drop to 25 to 30 below zero, if
not a few degrees lower at a few locations across north-central
Wisconsin.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
