* IMPACTS...At 26.8 feet, Deweyville schools may be closed due to
school bus routes being flooded.

- At 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 26.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:45 PM CDT Wednesday was 26.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 26.6
feet just after midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 24.0 feet.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Neches River at Neches River Saltwater Barrier.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Major flooding along the river including
Northwest Orange County From Lake View to the Saltwater Barrier
with several homes and camps flooded. Flooding is also occurring
along the river in Beaumont with major flooding at Colliers Ferry
Park and around the Beaumont Country Club. Residential roads off
of Pine Street are impassable and water up to homes. Several
streets in Northeast Beaumont also become flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.9 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 10.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 7.8 feet Monday
evening.
- Flood stage is 4.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM CDT THURSDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is occurring.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
county, Orange.
* WHEN...Until 945 AM CDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 841 AM CDT, gauge reports indicated the river gage on Cow
Bayou near Mauriceville is near 18.3 feet with moderate
flooding occurring in the warned area.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected. The bayou is expected to fall below moderate flood
stage by late today or tonight.
