* AFFECTED AREA...Loving, Sacramento Foothills and Guadalupe
Mountains, Chaves Plains, Eddy Plains, Lea, Guadalupe
Mountains Above 7000 Feet, Guadalupe and Delaware Mountains,
Van Horn and Highway 54 Corridor, Eastern Culberson County,
Reeves County Plains, Davis Mountains and Davis Mountains
Foothills.

* TIMING...From Monday afternoon through Monday evening.

* WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 6 percent.

* RFTI...5 to 7 or critical.

* IMPACTS...Avoid the use of open flames or any activities that
may generate sparks, such as outdoor burning or welding.
Extinguish cigarettes in vehicles. Accidental ignitions will
have the potential to grow into dangerous wind-driven wildfires.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New Mexico,
southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible over Terrell County
today, with main risks being damaging winds and large hail. Non
severe thunderstorms could also develop over the Davis Mountains.

Localized critical fire weather conditions may develop across the
Sacramento Foothills and Chaves County in Southeast New Mexico for a
brief period in the late afternoon and early evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.


A Fire Weather Watch is in effect Monday afternoon through evening for
the upper Trans Pecos, Davis and Guadalupe Mountains, Davis Mountain
Foothills, Culberson County, Southeast New Mexico Plains, and
Sacramento Foothills.

Critical fire weather is expected next week across western portions
of the area through Thursday.

High winds are possible Monday through Thursday across the Guadalupe
and Delaware Mountains and surrounding foothills.
