...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY SUNDAY AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Navasota River near Easterly.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding below Easterly
is expected.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 23.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below moderate flood
stage tonight and fall over the next couple of days, but
additional rises are possible late week due to forecast
rainfall.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Thunderstorm chances return tonight, primarily west of the I-35
corridor. Lightning will be the primary hazard, but the stronger
storms could contain hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Widespread storms are expected Thursday into Thursday night. Some of
the storms could become severe with large hail and damaging winds
the primary hazards. Tornadic supercells may also occur. In addition,
heavy rainfall will reaggravate flooding concerns, particularly
within Central and East Texas.
Additional storms may occur on Friday before the event comes to an
end.
