...DENSE FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING...


This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Louisiana, east
Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Patchy dense fog may be possible this morning, with a Dense Fog
advisory being in effect until 8AM today. Patchy fog may linger for a
few hours after that, but not additional hazardous weather is
expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.


Heavy rainfall returns to the forecast by Thursday, as the next
system pushes into the region. Another 3-5 inches of rainfall will
be possible in some locations, with the WPC introducing a Moderate
risk ERO into Friday morning. A new flood watch will likely be needed
by Wednesday, but there are still some questions on how far north
the heaviest rainfall axis will meander.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Cherokee, Nacogdoches and
Angelina Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Alto, Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* IMPACTS...At 168.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for at least
a couple of weeks with the gravel access roadway nearly inundated
along its entire length.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 167.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:30 PM CDT Monday was 167.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 165.0 feet
