This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Thunderstorms will continue to move through North and Central Texas
this morning. Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and the potential for
flash flooding will exist with these storms through late morning.

Additional thunderstorms will develop this afternoon mainly east of
I-35. Any storms that develop this afternoon could be severe with
damaging winds and a few tornadoes.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.


After a break in thunderstorm activity on Monday, occasional storm
chances will resume Tuesday through Friday, and a few thunderstorms
could be strong to severe.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Timely reports of severe weather and flooding will be appreciated.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CDT THIS MORNING...


* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Lampasas and McLennan
Counties.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Ponding of water on
roadways is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This
will likely cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying
and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in
the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Gatesville, McGregor,
Clifton, Fort Cavazos, Nolanville, Salado, Laguna Park,
Valley Mills, Kempner, Crawford, Fort Gates, Belton Lake,
Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Lake Whitney, Oglesby, South Mountain
and Union Grove.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
