* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest Louisiana, including the following
parishes, Natchitoches and Sabine and Texas, including the
following counties, Angelina, Cherokee, Nacogdoches, Sabine, San
Augustine and Shelby.

* WHEN...Through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Angelina, Cherokee and
Nacogdoches Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 168.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for at least
a couple of weeks with the gravel access roadway nearly inundated
along its entire length.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 166.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 AM CDT Monday was 166.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 168.2
feet just after midnight tonight.

floodplain will continue for the next several days. As the river
falls slowly, flooding will gradually decrease.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 AM CDT Monday was 19.8 feet.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...


This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north central Louisiana,
northwest Louisiana, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Severe weather chances should increase into the afternoon and evening
hours, as the main disturbance begins to move through the region.
Hail and damaging winds continue to be the main threat, with flash
flooding possible under heavy rainfall rates. The Flood Watch remains
in effect here, as this is where the best sustained rainfall looks to
be through Tuesday AM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.


Heavy rain looks possible again into next weekend, as another
disturbance moves into the region. An additional 1-3 inches of
rainfall will be possible, with another flood watch potentially being
needed by the middle of the workweek.
