Mud Creek Near Jacksonville affecting Nacogdoches, Smith, Rusk
and Cherokee Counties.

For the Mud Creek...including Jacksonville...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Expect lowland flooding of timber resources
along with some farmland.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 9.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday was 9.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is currently at crest, and is expected
to fall below flood stage late this evening and continue
falling to 7.2 feet Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.4 feet on 05/13/1946.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


The chance for an isolated thunderstorm or two will be possible late
this afternoon and evening. Primary threats will be gusty winds,
hail and frequent lightning if any thunderstorms do develop.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.


Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to
increase Wednesday afternoon and evening over East Texas and North
Louisiana, ahead of a weak cold front and associated upper level
disturbance. Some of these storms may become severe, before
diminishing late. Additional showers and thunderstorms should
redevelop Thursday afternoon and evening over the region near the
slow moving front, with the severe weather threat again possible
over these areas. This will diminish Thursday night as the front
shifts south of the region.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 165.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for several
days with the majority of the gravel access roadway flooded.
Boaters and four wheel-operators should use caution traversing
both upstream and downstream on the Angelina River as currents can
become swift and turbulent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 164.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:30 PM CDT Monday was 164.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 166.5

forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Preparations should be completed for a
moderate flood. Barns and farm buildings near the river will be
threatened by high water. In addition, ranchers should have
completed moving cattle and equipment to higher ground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Monday the stage was 18.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:15 PM CDT Monday was 18.5 feet.
