...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...


Angelina River Near Lufkin affecting Angelina, Nacogdoches and
Cherokee Counties.

For the Angelina River...including Lufkin...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Angelina River near Lufkin.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 168.0 feet, Expect flooding to continue for at least
a couple of weeks with the gravel access roadway nearly inundated
along its entire length.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 165.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 158.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 AM CDT Thursday was 165.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 166.7
feet Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 161.0 feet.
- Flood History...No available flood history.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


Showers and thunderstorms are expected to redevelop this afternoon
and evening near the slow moving front, with the severe weather
threat for damaging winds, hail and an embedded tornado or two over
the region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.


End of the week and into the start of the weekend will begin quiet as
high pressure dominates the local area. Showers and thunderstorms
return Sunday afternoon and to start next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely be needed.
