Neches River Near Diboll affecting Houston, Tyler, Polk, Trinity
and Angelina Counties.

Neches River Near Alto affecting Anderson, Houston, Trinity and
Cherokee Counties.

Neches River Near Neches affecting Anderson, Houston and Cherokee
Counties.

For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,
Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of the
heavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will be
completely inundated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 16.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:15 AM CDT Monday was 16.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.2
feet early tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Trinity River near Long Lake (Oakwood).

* WHEN...From this afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Moderate flooding of ranches along the
river is expected. The coffield prison farm and ranch lands will
be moderately flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 32.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 35.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 40.5
feet early Wednesday afternoon. Additional rises are possible
thereafter.
