This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Heavy rain will accompany thunderstorms as they move across the
region tonight. Flooding could occur with some the storms. A few
storms could also produce small hail and gusty winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Daily storm chances are expected much of next week. Some severe
weather will be possible, especially early and mid next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

Counties.

Leon River Near Hamilton affecting Hamilton County.

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Texas...

North Bosque River Near Clifton affecting Bosque County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Leon River near Hamilton.

* WHEN...From early this morning to early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 31.0 feet, Moderate out of bank flow is expected
along the river reach.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 26.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.1
feet late this morning. It will then fall below flood stage
just after midnight tonight.

Hamilton County in central Texas...

* Until 400 AM CDT.

* At 149 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 5 and 8 inches
of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch
are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Hamilton, Hico, Aleman, Olin, Fairy, Whiteway, Gentrys Mill,
Carlton, Ireland, Shive, Jonesboro and Pottsville.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northeast, and south central
Texas, including the following counties, in north central Texas,
Bell, Bosque, Collin, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Denton,
Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin, Freestone, Grayson,
Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Hunt, Jack, Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas,
Limestone, McLennan, Mills, Montague, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker,
Rockwall, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Wise and Young. In
northeast Texas, Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Leon,
Rains and Van Zandt. In south central Texas, Milam and Robertson.

* WHEN...Through this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low-water
crossings may become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher
amounts above 5 inches.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
