...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL SUNDAY EVENING...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Trinity River at Trinidad.

* WHEN...Until Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 37.0 feet, Minor flooding to woodlands and low land
areas will occur on the right bank of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 35.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 35.1
feet early Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Sunday evening.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Thunderstorms will continue in East Texas early this evening. The
potential for strong to severe storms capable of hail and damaging
winds remains. After storms exit late tonight, no hazardous weather
is expected.

Flash flooding is ongoing and will continue over the next several
hours mainly in East Texas, where the heavier rain has fallen.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

The severe threat will increase once again late Saturday afternoon
through Sunday morning across North Texas as another round of
thunderstorms is expected. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few
tornadoes will be possible. In addition, locally heavy rainfall may
cause flash flooding across parts of North Texas.

Occasional storm chances will continue through Thursday, a few of
which could be strong to severe.

Timely reports of severe weather and flooding will be appreciated
through the weekend.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including
the following counties, in north central Texas, Bosque, Collin,
Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hill, Hood, Hunt,
Johnson, Kaufman, McLennan, Montague, Navarro, Parker, Rockwall,
Somervell, Tarrant and Wise. In northeast Texas, Delta, Henderson,
Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt.

* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher
amounts of 3 to 5 inches.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
