This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight


Severe thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and into the
overnight hours. All hazards will be possible, including very
large hail, tornadoes, damaging winds, and flooding. A flood watch
is in effect through tomorrow at 1 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday


Thunderstorms and flooding concerns could continue, mainly for
our south and southeastern counties, through tomorrow afternoon.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will likely be needed this afternoon and
evening.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1245 AM CDT SUNDAY...


* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
counties, Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Haskell, Jones, Shackelford,
Taylor and Throckmorton.

* WHEN...Until 1245 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 945 PM CDT, a band of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall
extending from Throckmorton to Lake Stamford to Abilene
moving east at 20 mph. Radar has estimated just over 2 inches
in Anson. Be especially careful over southern Taylor and
northern Coleman counties where 3 to 4 inches of rainfall
fell earlier this evening. Abilene may see up to an inch of
rainfall.Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Abilene, Coleman, Clyde, Haskell, Stamford, Anson, Hamlin,
Albany, Baird, Throckmorton, Wylie, Merkel, Tye, Cross
Plains, Tuscola, Rule, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Lueders and
Trent.
- This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 261 and 323.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Curry Lane from Clack
Street to Catclaw Drive, Butternut Underpass, Intersections
along Sammons Street, I-20 Frontage Roads near Baird, I-20
Frontage Roads west of Clyde, I-20 Frontage Roads near
Putnam, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, Antilley
Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek and FM 89 crossing Elm
Creek.

Shackelford, Sutton, Taylor, Throckmorton and Tom Green.

* WHEN...Through early Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher
amounts greater than 3 inches possible.
