This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Arkansas,
southwest Arkansas, southeast Oklahoma and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


A complex of showers and thunderstorms will increase across Northeast
Texas and extreme Southeast Oklahoma late tonight, ahead of an upper
level disturbance that will approach the region from the west. Brief
heavy rainfall and locally gusty winds will be possible with the
stronger storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.


Showers and thunderstorms will be numerous across Northeast Texas, Southeast
Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas Thursday, continuing through Friday
before diminishing from west to east. However, the threat for
scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue Saturday and
Sunday, with brief heavy rainfall possible. Showers and thunderstorms
will become more isolated Monday, before drier and hotter conditions
return Tuesday.

Spotter activation should not be needed through tonight.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...


Sulphur River Near Talco affecting Franklin, Red River, Morris
and Titus Counties.

For the Sulphur River...including Talco...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHEN...Until early Sunday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to flood stage this afternoon.
It will then fall to 19.8 feet just after midnight tonight.
It will rise above flood stage again just after midnight
tonight to 22.7 feet early Friday morning. It will then fall
below flood stage again late Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
