This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New Mexico,
southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Storms have moved off to the east. Hazardous weather is no longer
expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.


Near-critical to critical fire weather conditions are possible
Sunday though Wednesday from southeastern New Mexico to the Big
Bend.

An early season heatwave is forecast this weekend into early next
week.

EASTERN ECTOR...MITCHELL...REAGAN...EASTERN GAINES...BORDEN...
MARTIN...HOWARD AND UPTON COUNTIES THROUGH 915 PM CDT...

At 751 PM CDT, weather stations across the Permian Basin reported
strong winds in the wake of this evening`s convection. Widespread
reports of wind gusts of 45-55mph have been observed. Winds would
gradually diminish over the next hour or so.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Midland, Odessa, Big Spring, Snyder, Lamesa, Colorado City, Crane,
Big Lake, McCamey, Rankin, Ackerly, Greenwood, Gail, Garden City,
Stanton, Coahoma, Loraine, Forsan, Sand Springs, and Lomax.

This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 112 and 228.
