This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.


Isolated to scattered thunderstorms should develop along and east of
the Interstate 27 corridor late this afternoon, before increasing in
coverage this evening as they spread east and off the Caprock.
Severe thunderstorms with hail to baseball size, winds up to 70 mph,
and localized flooding are all possible. A tornado threat exists
across the extreme southeastern Texas Panhandle and northern Rolling
Plains late this afternoon as well.

Elevated fire weather conditions will develop this afternoon in
Parmer and Bailey Counties. A Rangeland Fire Danger statement is in
effect from 1 PM until 8 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.


A few thunderstorms are possible mainly off the Caprock on Friday.
More widespread chances for showers and thunderstorms return on
Saturday and Sunday.
