This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


There is a low probability for hazardous weather.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.


Thunderstorms are expected to develop early Saturday morning across
the far southeast South Plains and Rolling Plains. A few storms may
become severe with hail up to quarter size.

Warm, dry, and strong southwesterly winds Saturday may create
critical fire weather conditions over much of the Caprock, along with
some blowing dust. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect Saturday
afternoon and evening.

Additional severe thunderstorms may redevelop Saturday afternoon
and evening across the Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas
Panhandle.

Thunderstorm chances return Wednesday and Thursday, some of which
could be severe.

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH

SATURDAY EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR
PORTIONS OF THE FAR SOUTHERN TEXAS PANHANDLE AND SOUTH PLAINS...

The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Fire Weather
Watch, which is in effect from Saturday afternoon through
Saturday evening.

* Timing...1 PM UNTIL 8 PM CDT.

* Wind...Southwest 25 to 30 mph gusts to 45 mph.

* Humidity...As low as 10 percent.

* Fuels...Dry.

* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.
