This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


Thunderstorms are expected this morning initially across
southeastern portions of the Caprock and the southern Rolling
Plains, spreading northeastward across the southeast Texas
Panhandle. Some storms may become severe with hail up to golf ball
size.

Critical fire weather conditions are expected over the western South
Plains and far southwest Texas Panhandle this afternoon. A Red Flag
Warning is in effect for this area from 1 PM until 8 PM. A Rangeland
Fire Danger Statement is also in effect for the I-27 corridor.

Additional severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and
evening across the Rolling Plains and far southeast Texas Panhandle.
Large hail to the size of baseballs, wind gusts to 70 mph, and a
tornado or two will be possible with this activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.


Thunderstorm chances return Wednesday through Friday, some of which
could be severe.
