This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


Critical fire weather is expected this afternoon and evening for the
far southwest Texas Panhandle and northern South Plains. A Red Flag
Warning is in effect for these areas from noon until 9 PM.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.


Elevated to critical fire weather conditions are possible on Tuesday
and Wednesday from the far southwest TX Panhandle through the western
South Plains.

Thunderstorm chances return to the entire outlook area this weekend.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT TODAY FROM NOON UNTIL 9 PM

CDT FOR VERY BREEZY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE FAR
SOUTHWEST TEXAS PANHANDLE AND NORTHERN SOUTH PLAINS...

* Timing...Today from noon to 9 PM CDT.

* Wind...West at 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph.

* Humidity...7 to 14 percent.

* Fuels...Dry.

* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
