Additional isolated thunderstorms may develop late tonight across
far southeast Oklahoma and these storms will pose a limited risk
of severe weather. Locations near the Oklahoma Kansas border will
be another area to monitor for overnight storms as cold front
approaches from the north. Currently the chances appear very low
in the area but should storms develop then severe weather will be
possible.

Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms are likely to develop in or near portions of
northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas early Wednesday morning.
Storms will increase in coverage through the day as a cold
front sweeps southward. Severe weather is likely with these
storms with large hail and locally damaging winds the primary
hazards. A tornado threat will also exist with the most
intense storms. Storm chances diminish on Thursday with
dry and mild weather returning to the region for late week
into the weekend. Another approaching storm system will increase
shower and thunderstorm chances again Sunday into Monday.
