.DAY ONE...Through Tonight...


.SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT...
Storm spotter groups and emergency management personnel across
Oklahoma and western north Texas should prepare for severe weather
operations.

.Thunderstorms...
A significant severe weather outbreak, with potentially two
rounds, is expected to impact Oklahoma and possible far northern
Texas through the evening hours. The atmospheric environment will
support storms with strong, long-lived tornadoes, destructive
very large hail, and damaging wind gusts 80 mph or greater.

Thunderstorms will develop across northwest and west-central
Oklahoma through late afternoon, moving eastward into central and
northern Oklahoma during the evening. An isolated storm or two is
also possible farther south across southwest Oklahoma and western
north Texas. A potential second round of severe thunderstorms
appears possible across central into south central and southeast
Oklahoma late evening and overnight.

.Excessive Rainfall...
Long-lived severe thunderstorms could produce rainfall amounts of
two to four inches, with locally higher amounts possible.
Excessive rainfall could lead to flash flooding this afternoon and
into tonight.

Strong to severe storms are possible across southeast Oklahoma

* Until 1215 AM CDT.

* At 1124 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 4 miles east of Union City to near Tuttle to near
Amber, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

Southern Oklahoma City, Norman, Moore, Midwest City, Del City,
Newcastle, Blanchard, Mustang, Choctaw, Noble, Tuttle, Harrah,
Spencer, Nicoma Park, Goldsby, Valley Brook, Amber, Bridge Creek,
Stanley Draper Lake, and Newalla.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM CDT TUESDAY...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, northern, and southeast
Oklahoma, including the following counties, in central Oklahoma,
Canadian, Cleveland, Kingfisher, Lincoln, Logan, McClain,
Oklahoma, Payne and Pottawatomie. In east central Oklahoma,
Pontotoc and Seminole. In northern Oklahoma, Garfield, Grant, Kay
and Noble. In southeast Oklahoma, Coal and Hughes.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Thunderstorms will be possible this evening and overnight.
Any storms that develop will produce very heavy rainfall that
could lead to flash flooding. Do not drive through flooded
roadways. Turn around, don`t drown.

* At 910 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Stillwater, Watonga, Kingfisher, Crescent, Thomas, Glencoe, Dover,
Custer City, Mulhall, Cimarron City, Orlando, Greenfield, Loyal,
Lovell, Lake Carl Blackwell, Lake Mcmurtry, Fay and Omega.

Heavy rain will continue in and around Kingfisher and will move into
the Stillwater area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
