This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Critical fire weather conditions will develop this afternoon and
evening across western and central sections of the Oklahoma and
Texas Panhandles due to west to southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph
with higher gusts along with minimum relative humidity values as
low as 7 percent. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for this area
from Noon today until 10 PM CDT this evening.

Elevated fire weather conditions are also forecast to develop
this afternoon and evening across the eastern Oklahoma Panhandle
as well as parts of the central and northeast Texas Panhandle due
to west to southwest winds of 20 to 25 mph with higher gusts
along with minimum relative humidity values of 8 to 12 percent.

Isolated thunderstorms may develop this afternoon over the far
eastern sections of the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. If storms
form, they may become severe, with large hail and damaging winds
the primary hazards. In addition, an isolated tornado cannot be
ruled out.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.


Critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop Tuesday
afternoon and evening across western and central sections of the
Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles due to southwest winds of 20 to 30
mph with higher gusts along with minimum relative humidity values
as low as 7 percent. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for this
area Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Thunderstorms will be possible across parts of the Oklahoma and
Texas Panhandles Friday afternoon through Sunday. Any storms that
develop are expected to remain below severe levels at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.

Area fire managers and emergency officials should be alert for
elevated and critical fire weather conditions today and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for strong winds and low relative humidity, which
is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.

* Affected Area...In Oklahoma...Cimarron and Texas. In Texas...
Dallam...Sherman...Hartley...Moore...Oldham...Potter...Deaf
Smith...Randall and Palo Duro Canyon.

* 20 Foot Winds...For today, west 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to
45 mph. For Tuesday, southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40
mph.

* Relative Humidity...For today and Tuesday, as low as 7 percent.

* Red Flag Threat Index...For today, 5 to 9. For Tuesday, 4 to 8.

* Timing...For today, noon until 10 PM. For Tuesday, noon until 9
PM.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 7 AM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
