Owyhee River near Mountain City affecting Elko County.

For the Owyhee River...including Wildhorse Dam, Wildhorse, Mountain
City...elevated river levels are forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you encounter a flooded roadway, turn around and find an
alternative route.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt is possible.

* WHERE...Owyhee River near Mountain City.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Minor flooding along the river channel.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:25 AM PDT Sunday the stage was 6.7 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall to 7.0 feet tomorrow
afternoon. It will then rise to 7.1 feet Tuesday afternoon.
It will fall to 7.0 feet Thursday afternoon. It will then
rise to 7.2 feet early Saturday morning. It will fall again
and remain below flood stage.
- Action stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PDT MONDAY

ABOVE 6500 FEET...

* WHAT...Snow above 6500 feet. Additional snow accumulations of 2
to 15 inches. Higher snow amounts on ridgetops and peaks. Winds
gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Northern Elko County.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM PDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas
of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.
