This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Late this afternoon into this evening, limited parts of our
forecast area carry a slight chance of thunderstorms, one area
being within a few Nebraska counties northeast of the Tri Cities,
and the other area being portions of north central Kansas.
However, better chances for any storms will concentrate east,
south and west of our forecast area altogether.
IF any storms do manage to develop into our forecast area, they
could become strong to marginally severe, with the main threats
being winds of 50 to 60 MPH and possibly small hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.
Periodic chances for showers and thunderstorms will be possible
across parts of the area each day this week, with some of the
overall-higher chances currently focused during the evening and
overnight hours each day.
A few severe storms along with locally heavy rainfall and
potential flooding will be possible mainly west of Highway 281
both Sunday and Monday, with details regarding the potential for
severe thunderstorms or flooding on any particular day beyond
Monday still uncertain at this time.
