This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are possible through the day
today. The peak timeframe for severe weather is 6pm to 3am.
Scattered thunderstorms arrive from the south this morning into
the early afternoon. A few of these storms could be strong to
marginally severe, with hail up to the size of quarters.
Stronger thunderstorms may develop as early as 6pm, with
increasing chances after 9pm this evening. These storms may
produce golf ball sized hail and isolated wind gusts up to 60
MPH. Localized flash flooding is also possible.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
A few thunderstorms may linger in southeastern portions of the
area on Thursday, but severe weather is not expected.
Patchy frost is possible in portions of Dawson and Valley
counties Thursday night into Friday morning.
Another chance for thunderstorms arrives Friday night into
Saturday morning. Details remain uncertain, but a few strong to
marginally severe storms cannot be ruled out.
A stronger storm system may bring higher chances for
thunderstorms and possibly more severe weather to the region
Sunday through Monday.
