This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


Showers and thunderstorms continue through most of today, with the
primary severe weather threat in portions of north central Nebraska
during the afternoon hours. Large hail and heavy rain are the
primary threats, though damaging winds and an isolated tornado
cannot be ruled out. The threat for serious flash flooding appears
low at this time, but lowland flooding will be possible as up to an
inch and a half of rain is forecast across western Nebraska.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.


Another round of storms are expected to form late Saturday and
persist overnight through Sunday morning across. The primary severe
weather threat will be large hail and heavy rainfall across southwest
Nebraska. New rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch and a half
are again possible.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CUSTER COUNTY
THROUGH 815 AM CDT...

At 744 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Weissert, or 12 miles east of Broken Bow, moving northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sargent, Comstock, Weissert, Westerville, Round Valley, Big Oak
Canyon, Arcadia Diversion Dam State Wildlife Management Area, Divide
Hill, and Wescott.

This includes the following highways...
Highway 183 between mile markers 93 and 121.
Highway 92 between mile markers 304 and 308.
