...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Louisiana, including the following
parishes, Central Tangipahoa, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana,
Eastern Ascension, Iberville, Lower Tangipahoa, Northern
Livingston, Northern St. Tammany, Northern Tangipahoa, Pointe
Coupee, Southeast St. Tammany, Southern Livingston, Southwestern
St. Tammany, St. Helena, Washington, West Baton Rouge, West
Feliciana and Western Ascension and southern Mississippi,
including the following areas, Amite, Northern Hancock, Northern
Harrison, Northern Jackson, Pearl River, Pike, Southern Hancock,
Southern Harrison, Southern Jackson, Walthall and Wilkinson.

* WHEN...Through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Multiple rounds of storms will be moving through the area
throughout the next 2 days. 3 to 5 inches of rainfall with
locally higher amounts in excess of 6 inches will be possible
tonight through Tuesday morning, enhancing the flash flooding
threat.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Natchez.

* WHEN...From Monday, May 20 to Tuesday, May 21.

* IMPACTS...At 48.0 feet, Carthage Point Road becomes impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 43.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 48.0
feet Monday, May 20. It will then fall below flood stage
