This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight


A brief, isolated thunderstorm is possible in west Kentucky, near
the Tennesse border through the late afternoon. A few lightning
strikes and a brief heavy downpour will be the primary concerns.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday


Thunderstorms are forecast Tuesday night through Friday. The best
chances at this time appear to be late Tuesday night through
Wednesday. A few severe storms cannot be ruled out in this period.
The potential exists for multiple rounds of thunderstorms through
the end of the week and that could eventually lead to a heavy
rainfall and flooding threat.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated through Tuesday.

Kentucky...Missouri...Illinois...

Mississippi River near Cape Girardeau and Hickman.

.The Mississippi River levels will continue a slow fall, with the
river falling below flood stage at Hickman later today, and at Cape
Girardeau Tuesday afternoon.

- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Tuesday afternoon and continue falling to 26.3 feet
