This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southern
Illinois, southwest Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


A Flood Watch remains in effect until 7 PM CDT for parts of
southeast Missouri, far southern Illinois, and far western
Kentucky. Refer to the Flood Watch for additional details.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are forecast
through tonight. Lightning, gusty winds, and locally heavy rain
will be the primary hazards.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday


There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday
afternoon. Lightning and locally heavy rain will be the primary
hazards.

Daily chances of showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast
beginning Tuesday. While it is too early to determine if these
storms could be strong to severe, lightning, locally heavy rain,
and gusty winds will be possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

While spotter activation is not anticipated, reports of flooding
and rainfall measurements would be appreciated.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...


* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and
southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Areas of moderate to heavy rain will expand east from
southeast Missouri into southern Illinois and far western
Kentucky through this morning. Training showers and storms
will result in rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hours
locally, and flash flooding may develop where this heavy rain
occurs.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT EARLY THIS

MORNING FOR STODDARD COUNTY...

At 211 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain occurred late this
evening across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch are possible in
the warned area. While heavy rain has ended, any remaining flooding
issues may linger the next few hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Dexter, Bernie, Bloomfield, Advance, Morehouse, Puxico, Essex,
Bell City, Fisk, Dudley, Baker and Penermon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
