This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated lightning risk.
Limited Fog risk.
DISCUSSION...
A few isolated showers and non severe thunderstorms will be
possible through the rest of the early morning hours but most
locations will remain dry.
Scattered showers and non severe thunderstorms will then develop
across portions of the area this afternoon into the early this
evening with the best chances across the eastern Missouri Ozarks.
Patchy fog development will be possible through the rest of the
early morning hours. Fog may limit visibility to under a mile at
times, especially in low lying areas and areas that received
rainfall Monday evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Additional thunderstorm chances are possible late in the week.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CDT TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Christian, Greene and Webster.
* WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 710 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Strafford, Brookline,
Galloway and Turners.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
