This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited hail risk.
Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Elevated lightning risk.
Limited excessive rainfall risk
Limited Fog risk.
DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms will continue through the mid to late
evening hours. The stronger storms will be capable of 60 mph winds
and hail to the size of quarters along with cloud to ground
lightning. Heavy rain will accompany the storms with training
storms causing some minor flooding.
Late tonight, some fog may develop as winds become light and
variable. Fog may limit visibility to under a mile at times,
especially in low lying areas and areas which received rainfall
this evening.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.
Chances for non-severe thunderstorms return on Tuesday,
particularly east of Springfield. Additional thunderstorm chances
are possible late in the week.

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM CDT TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following
counties, Christian, Greene and Webster.
* WHEN...Until 115 AM CDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 710 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Springfield, Republic, Battlefield, Strafford, Brookline,
Galloway and Turners.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
