This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited lightning risk.
DISCUSSION...
Some scattered showers and storms will be possible tonight,
mainly northwest of a Joplin to Warsaw line. Most locations will
likely remain dry as the better potential for this activity is
expected to remain to the west and north of the area through
tonight.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop on Thursday. If
enough instability develops then a few storms could produce gusty
winds and small hail however the severe weather threat is
marginal. Heavy rainfall on saturated soils may lead to flooding
Thursday afternoon and evening.
Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms exists this
weekend with the highest chances Saturday. A stronger storm
system looks to approach the region by Monday or Tuesday of next
week with additional thunderstorm chances.
