This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Weather hazards expected...

Elevated lightning risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening,
but should become more numerous late tonight. No severe storms are
expected, but heavy rain and cloud to ground lightning will be
possible.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.


Scattered thunderstorms become widespread Monday. A few may be
strong to severe near the Arkansas Border, with hail to the size
of quarters and wind gusts up to 50 mph. Continued chances for
thunderstorms linger into Tuesday, particularly east of
Springfield. Additional thunderstorm chances may be possible late
in the week.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in

Missouri...

Osage River at Taberville affecting St. Clair and Vernon Counties.

For the Osage River...including Taberville...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Osage River at Taberville.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 26.5 feet, flood waters impact all of the low lying
areas in the Schell Osage Conservation Area as well as several
county roads west of Schell City.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 26.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 23.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:45 PM CDT Sunday was 27.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Tuesday afternoon and continue falling to 21.6 feet Friday
evening.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
26.6 feet on 06/06/2013.
