There is a chance of thunderstorms late this afternoon through

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
There is a chance of thunderstorms Monday through Tuesday and again
Wednesday night through Friday.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL EARLY TUESDAY MORNING...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Mel Price LD.
* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Flood Stage. Minor flooding begins to
occur at this level.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 21.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The river first rose above flood stage on
April 30, cresting near 23.6 feet on May 2. It since fell
back below flood stage, but hovered within a foot on either
side of flood stage for several days. It`s most recent crest
was 21.8 feet on May 11.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tomorrow evening and continue falling next week.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Downstream near this stage, Missouri Route
H at Island Road and agricultural bottomland may begin flooding,
depending on Mississippi River flow and backwater.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 25.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:00 PM CDT Saturday was 26.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late tonight and continue falling to 20.3 feet Thursday
evening.
- Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
