This hazardous weather outlook is for northwest...north central and
west central Missouri...as well as extreme eastern Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Minor to major river flooding is ongoing across the area due to
recent rainfall.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday


Severe storms may be possible on Tuesday.

Heavy rainfall will be possible Tuesday into Wednesday which may
aggravate ongoing river flooding or lead to additional river
flooding. Flash flooding will also be a concern.

Another round of heavy rain will be possible in the Saturday to
Sunday timeframe as well.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in

Missouri...

Blackwater River at Valley City affecting Johnson and Pettis
Counties.

For the Blackwater River...including Valley City...Major flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING...


* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Blackwater River at Valley City.

* WHEN...Until late Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Woodlands and farm fields along the river
begin to flood.
At 25.0 feet, County Highway E near Valley City and Highway 23
near the Perry State Wildlife Area are under water.
At 31.0 feet, Extensive flooding of rural property and many roads
occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 32.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 33.9
feet this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
tomorrow morning.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
34.3 feet on 08/01/2020.
