...The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

Minnesota River at Morton affecting Redwood and Renville Counties.

.Rainfall from Monday night has resulted in another three quarters
to an inch of rainfall over the Minnesota River basin near Morton.
Additional rainfall may also be possible Wednesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON TO TUESDAY, MAY

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Morton.

* WHEN...From Wednesday afternoon to Tuesday, May 14.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Riverside Rd and Front Street flooded in
North Redwood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 20.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 22.0 feet early Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday, May 14.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
21.9 feet on 04/04/2007.
