This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.


Thunderstorms are likely overnight. A few strong storms capable of
hail are possible across southwestern Minnesota.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.


A powerful storm system will bring another round of thunderstorms
Tuesday afternoon and evening. There is an Enhanced Risk of
severe thunderstorms (level 3 of 5) across southeastern Minnesota,
and a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) extending across south central
and east central Minnesota into western Wisconsin. Large hail and
damaging winds are the main threats, but a few tornadoes are also
possible.

Heavy rainfall is likely Tuesday afternoon and evening and totals
may exceed 2 or 3 inches. This will lead to rises on rivers and
their tributaries through the end of the week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN spotter activation will not be needed tonight, but may be
needed Tuesday.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in

Minnesota...

Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Lac qui Parle, Chippewa
and Yellow Medicine Counties.

.High water continues along the Minnesota River near Montevideo due
to recent rainfall. Widespread rain is expected overnight and again
on Tuesday, which will lead to steady or rising river levels in the
coming days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 PM CDT Sunday, the stage was 14.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 800 PM CDT Sunday was 14.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to remain fairly steady
around 14.3 feet through tomorrow. It will then remain steady
or rise thereafter...depending on how much rain falls through
Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.2 feet on 06/25/1991.
