...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...
Minnesota River at Morton affecting Renville and Redwood Counties.
Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Yellow Medicine, Lac qui
Parle and Chippewa Counties.
.Mostly dry weather this weekend, so the gradual decrease in stages
is expected to continue. Widespread rain is becoming increasingly
likely at the start of next week, which is expected to raise river
water levels again.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
the river.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 900 AM CDT Saturday, the stage was 14.6 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 900 AM CDT Saturday was 14.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.6
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Thursday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
14.6 feet on 07/26/1962.
