...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS

MORNING...

* WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level in
low lying areas due to tidal flooding.

* WHERE...Shoreline in Anne Arundel County.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM EDT this morning, especially around the time
of high tide.

* IMPACTS...At 2.8 feet, flooding of some of the parking area
near Dock Street in Annapolis may occur, with water
surrounding the Alex Haley Memorial.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one to one and a half feet above
normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 6:10
AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and I-95 corridor through
central Maryland, northern Virginia, and District of Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Isolated severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind
gusts and large hail are possible this afternoon and evening,
especially along and south of I-66/US-50.

Special Marine Warnings may be needed for portions of the waters
this afternoon and evening for strong to severe storms capable of
producing wind gusts over 34 knots and large hail.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday


Scattered severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind
gusts and large hail are likely Thursday afternoon. There is the
potential for considerable wind damage from 70 mph gusts and large
hail.

Special Marine Warnings may be needed for portions of the waters
Thursday for strong to severe storms capable of producing wind
gusts over 34 knots and large hail.

Heavy rainfall Thursday could result in isolated instances of
flooding.
