This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Illinois, southwest
Indiana, western Kentucky and southeast Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are forecast this afternoon into
tonight. A few storms could be strong to severe, with large hail and
damaging winds being the main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.


Widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast Friday into
Saturday. Some showers could be heavy at times and produce flash
flooding.

Thunderstorms return to the forecast Tuesday into Wednesday. At this
time, it is too early to say if these storms could be strong to
severe.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Due to the risk of strong to severe thunderstorms, spotter
activation may be needed this afternoon and tonight.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in

Missouri...Illinois...Kentucky...

Ohio River at Cairo affecting Carlisle, Hickman, Ballard,
Mississippi, Pulaski, Alexander and Fulton Counties.

For the Ohio River...including Owensboro, Newburgh Dam, Evansville,
Henderson, Mount Vernon, J.T. Myers Dam, Shawneetown, Golconda,
Smithland Dam, Paducah, Olmsted Lock and Dam, Cairo...Minor flooding
is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* WHERE...Ohio River at Cairo.

* WHEN...Until late Tuesday evening.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 42.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:00 AM CDT Thursday was 42.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 42.2
feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
