This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Illinois, southwest
Indiana, western Kentucky and southeast Missouri.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


There is a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, mainly over
southwest Indiana and the Kentucky Pennyrile.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.


Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are forecast Thursday afternoon
and evening. Some of the thunderstorms could be severe. Additionally,
locally heavy rain could lead to flash flooding.

More widespread showers and thunderstorms are forecast Friday into
Saturday. Additional rounds of locally heavy rain could lead to flash
flood development.

Showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast Monday and Tuesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed Thursday afternoon and evening.

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in

Illinois...Kentucky...Missouri...

Ohio River at Olmsted Lock and Dam and Cairo.

.River levels will continue to drop, with the reading at Olmsted
falling below flood stage this evening, and at Cairo Thursday
evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

- At 10:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 43.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
late Thursday evening and continue falling to 31.3 feet
Friday, May 24.
- Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
