This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Limited hail risk.
Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Limited lightning risk.
Limited excessive rainfall risk
DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and storms will be possible this afternoon and
tonight, mainly northwest of a Joplin to Warsaw line. A few
addtional scattered storms will be possible during the afternoon
over south central Missouri. Small hail and gusty winds up to 50
mph will be possible with any stronger storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Additional showers and thunderstorms will develop on Thursday. If
enough instability develops then a few storms could produce gusty
winds and small hail however the severe weather threat is
marginal. Heavy rainfall on saturated soils may lead to flooding
Thursday afternoon and evening.
Additional chances for showers and thunderstorms exists this
weekend with the highest chances Saturday. A stronger storm
system looks to approach the region by Monday or Tuesday of next
week with additional thunderstorm chances.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FRIDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Neosho River at Oswego.
* WHEN...Until Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 22.5 feet, Riverside Park Drive floods from east of
Xavier St, just south of the river gage bridge, to 100 yards east
towards the water plant.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 23.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Friday morning and continue falling to 7.8 feet early
Monday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
