This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Limited hail risk.
Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Elevated lightning risk.
Elevated excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

A line of storms has developed across south central Kansas this
afternoon and will move to the southeast late this evening into
tonight. Localized damaging winds gusts up to 60 mph may be
possible with the strongest portions of this line generally along
and west of Interstate 49. Additional scattered storms may move
south into portions of the area tonight generally north of
Interstate 44. Gusty winds up to 50 mph and small hail will be
possible with a few of the strongest storms. Not all locations
will be affected by this activity. Locally heavy rainfall and
localized flooding will also be a risk with these storms
especially along and west of Interstate 49. The flooding risk will
be highest in areas near Nevada where rivers are already various
stages of flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for these areas
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Multiple storm chances continue Wednesday through Monday. Some
days may exhibit a severe threat, but exact details are uncertain
at this time. Our western counties are within a Marginal (1/5)
risk for severe weather Wednesday and Thursday.

Each round of rain will bring the chance of additional flooding,
especially if falling over already rain-stressed areas like
around Nevada. The WPC has us in a Slight (2/4) risk for
excessive rainfall Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
