This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight


Pockets of areal flooding and river flooding are ongoing over
southeast Kansas, especially along the Neosho and Verdigris Rivers.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday


A few storms will be possible late Tuesday afternoon and evening for
areas generally along and especially east of Interstate 135. Any
storm that is able to develop will have the potential to produce
large hail, damaging winds and additional flooding.

Storms will remain in the forecast for late Wednesday afternoon and
evening for locations along and especially west of Interstate 135.
Severe storms will be possible with this activity.

Periodic thunderstorm chances will remain in the forecast for Friday
night through the weekend. Strong to severe thunderstorms are
possible, along with additional heavy rainfall and localized
flooding. Stay tuned, as we continue to refine the forecast the next
few days.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM CDT THIS EVENING...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following
counties, Allen, Greenwood, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads
remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to
excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are
inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 921 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported ongoing
flooding across the warned area. Between 3 and 9 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Parsons, Chanute, Iola, Eureka, Neodesha, Fredonia, Humboldt,
Yates Center, Erie, Madison, St. Paul, La Harpe, Gas, Moran,
Thayer, Altoona, Toronto, Hamilton, Severy and Buffalo.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.
