This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight


Minor flooding will continue on the Fall River at Fredonia with
minor flooding expected on the Neosho River at Parsons by early this
evening.

Localized flooding from excessive runoff will continue to affect
areas of Greenwood county, including Eureka, through early this
evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday


There is a chance for thunderstorms to affect far southeast Kansas
Wednesday morning. A few strong to severe storms are possible with
large hail as the main hazard.

Minor flooding is expected on the Neosho River at Oswego by
Wednesday morning and will continue at Parsons on Wednesday.

There is a chance for hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms across
the region from Sunday night into next week, but the overall
potential for severe weather looks low.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT THIS EVENING...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of Southeast Kansas, including the following
county, Greenwood.

* WHEN...Until 745 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Low-water crossing near the State Street Bridge on P
Road, one-quarter mile south of 140th Street is inundated with
water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 839 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Eureka, Hamilton, Severy, Fall River, Climax, Virgil, Eureka
Airport, Eureka City Lake, Fall River Lake, Fall River State
Park, Piedmont, Cross Timbers State Park and Toronto Lake.
- Other areas across the county may still be affected by high
water due to excessive runoff from the rains last evening and
night.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don`t
drown.
