Continued river flooding is expected today.
Thunderstorms are expected to move into eastern Kansas and western
Missouri early Saturday morning. A few storms could produce gusty
winds or large hail.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Marais Des Cygnes River near Trading Post.
* WHEN...Until early Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Flooding of low-lying farmland occurs and
water begins to approach Stateline Road north of the river gauge.
At 29.0 feet, Stateline Road is flooded north of the river gauge.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:46 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 29.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 32.2
feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Saturday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late this evening to a crest of 27.0 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
