This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Kansas, east central
Kansas, north central Kansas and northeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.


An isolated storm is possible late this afternoon and early this
evening. Severe weather is not expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.


Thunderstorms are forecast to impact the region Tuesday through
Thursday, including the potential for severe weather. There is also
the potential for very heavy rainfall which could lead to flooding
and or flash flooding. Be sure to remain up to date with the latest

Pottawatomie Creek at Lane affecting Franklin County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW AFTERNOON...


* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Pottawatomie Creek at Lane.

* WHEN...Until tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 23.0 feet, Minor low land flooding begins along the
creek.
At 24.0 feet, Douglas Road floods about a quarter mile northwest
of Lane.


* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 23.95 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 23.0 feet late
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage this
evening.
- Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
