This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight


Chances for showers and thunderstorms will increase from the west
overnight. The stronger storms will be capable of pea to dime size
hail, 50 mph winds, and brief heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday


Hit-or-miss showers and thunderstorms will linger across mainly
eastern Kansas Wednesday morning, with a continued threat for small
hail and gusty winds.

Thunderstorm chances will increase Wednesday late afternoon and
evening across central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. The
strongest activity will be capable of quarter to ping-pong ball
size hail, 60 to 70 mph winds, and perhaps an isolated tornado or
two. In addition, pockets of very heavy rainfall and localized
flooding is possible. The greatest severe weather threat will be
across mainly southern Kansas.

Periodic chances for thunderstorms will remain in the forecast for
Thursday and Friday. A few strong storms look possible through this
time frame.
