This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Central Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.


Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be around into tonight.
Severe storms are not expected. Lightning and locally heavy rain
are threats from any storm.

Storm motion will be from the west at 10 to 20 mph.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.


Additional thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and then
through much of next week. There is a potential for some strong
storms around Tuesday and Wednesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM EDT THIS MORNING...


* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Indiana, including the following
counties, Clay and Owen.

* WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 602 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in
the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
already occurring. Between 1 and 2.25 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Clay City and Patricksburg.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
